Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt, for a Key Account Manager in the Freight Forwarding industry.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Daily responsibilities include:
• Handling freight forwarding operations.
• Coordinating import and export shipments.
• Preparing strategic account plans.
• Analyzing customer logistics requirements.
• Resolving shipment and operational issues.
• Identifying opportunities for business growth and additional logistics services.
The role also involves close coordination with internal departments, carriers, shipping lines, and overseas agents to ensure smooth logistics operations and timely cargo delivery, while monitoring market trends and maintaining competitive service standards.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of operations experience in freight forwarding is a must.
• Follow up on the team’s daily tasks and provide support whenever needed.
• Monitor the monthly number of shipments.
• Follow up on the number of clients and business growth.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues when problems arise.
• Follow up on the initial shipping delegation process.
• Manage and monitor the full sea freight cycle.
• Ensure shipping insurance confirmations are completed properly.
• Ensure all documentation is processed according to customer agreements.
• Follow up on order delivery and resolve any related issues.
• Ensure invoices are aligned with agreed terms and conditions.
• Monitor reporting accuracy for all team members.
• Prepare waiver letters for Flexi Tanks and ISO Tanks and ensure collection before release.
• Prepare KPIs for the team and monitor performance.
• Support the team in achieving targets and operational goals.
