Alsafa Logistic Solutions is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Shipping to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Book export shipments with shipping lines and secure space according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate with shipping lines regarding bookings, vessel schedules, rollovers, and operational updates.
• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo cut-off dates, VGM deadlines, SI deadlines, and documentation cut-offs.
• Prepare, review, and submit Shipping Instructions (SI) and Verified Gross Mass (VGM) accurately and on time.
• Follow up with the inland transportation/trucking team to ensure containers are delivered to the port before cut-off times.
• Coordinate with customers, trucking companies, depots, warehouses, and shipping lines to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Monitor container movements, including empty container release, loading, gate-in, and vessel departure.
• Resolve operational issues proactively to avoid shipment delays, additional charges, and missed sailings.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems with shipment status.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding shipment progress and operational requirements.
• Ensure all shipping documents are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
• Collaborate with the sales, customer service, documentation, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle daily operational communication with shipping lines, customers, and service providers via phone and email.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and shipping line requirements.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of ocean export operations, vessel bookings, shipping documentation, VGM, SI, and shipping line procedures.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet shipping deadlines.
