Job Summary:
A leading company are seeking a qualified Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for goods and services required to support heavy transportation operations and container yard activities, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Handle the end-to-end procurement cycle, including receiving purchase requests, obtaining quotations, negotiating with suppliers, and issuing purchase orders.
Source and evaluate suppliers for transportation-related requirements, including spare parts, tires, lubricants, maintenance services, equipment, and operational supplies.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, responsiveness, and delivery commitments.
Ensure the timely availability of required materials and services to avoid operational disruptions.
Compare quotations and prepare commercial evaluations and recommendation reports.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, finance, and warehouse teams to identify procurement requirements and priorities.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
Follow up on deliveries and resolve any discrepancies related to quality, quantity, or specifications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within heavy transportation, logistics, container terminals, or related industries.
Good knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
Previous experience in procuring heavy truck spare parts, maintenance services, tires, fuel-related requirements, or container yard operational supplies will be considered a strong advantage.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
