Import Section Head
📍 Alexandria, Egypt | Full-time | On-site

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Import Section Head to lead and manage all import activities related to industrial supplies and materials.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete import cycle, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of shipments while leading and developing the import team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage end-to-end import operations from purchase order placement through final delivery.
2. Coordinate import documentation, customs clearance activities, and shipment follow-up.
3. Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
4. Monitor supplier performance and support negotiations within company policies.
5. Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures.
6. Lead, coach, and develop the import team while effectively allocating workloads.
7. Identify opportunities for process improvement to optimize costs, lead times, and service levels.
8. Prepare reports, KPIs, and performance analyses to support management decisions.
9. Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution.
10. Resolve operational challenges proactively and maintain continuity of supply.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in Import Operations is mandatory.
3. Candidates with experience limited to Logistics or Export activities only will not be considered.
4. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, import documentation, and customs procedures.
5. Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
7. Experience working with ERP or Supply Chain Management Systems is highly preferred.
8. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
9. Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
10. Experience within industrial supplies, industrial materials, or related sectors is highly preferred.
