Warehousing and Logistics Manager
Position Overview:
The Warehousing and Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the first mile from our manufacturing facilities to our warehouses, as well as overseeing inventory management and the last mile to retailers. This individual will be responsible for optimizing processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

First Mile Management:

Coordinate inbound logistics from manufacturing facilities to warehouses.
Oversee transportation scheduling, ensuring timely arrival of goods.
Implement efficient routing strategies to optimize delivery times and reduce transportation costs.
Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams to forecast inventory needs and plan production accordingly.
Inventory Management:

Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
Conduct regular audits to verify inventory levels and identify potential issues.
Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and other inventory management strategies to minimize product spoilage and obsolescence.
Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, monitor movement, and generate reports for management review.
Last Mile Logistics:

Manage outbound logistics to deliver products from warehouses to retailers.
Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule deliveries and optimize routes.
Monitor delivery performance and address any issues or delays proactively.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Team Leadership:

Supervise warehouse staff and logistics personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety within the warehouse and logistics team.
Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction throughout the supply chain.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in warehousing and logistics.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
