Foreign & local Purchasing Specialist At Naguib Selim

About the job

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with international suppliers to secure best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) for foreign purchases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure smooth shipment and timely clearance.
  • Prepare and review all import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, letters of credit (LC), and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure full compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and applicable trade laws (Incoterms, HS codes).
  • Coordinate with the finance team on payment terms, LC issuance, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Analyze market trends and international pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain accurate purchasing records.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activity, lead times, costs, and supplier performance.

Required Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

Strong experience in managing relationships with domestic and global suppliers.

Demonstrated ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract agreements.

Skilled in maintaining current supplier partnerships while actively identifying and onboarding new vendors.

Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in foreign / international purchasing or import procurement.

Hands-on experience with LC transactions, shipping documentation, and customs clearance procedures.

Experience in the fabrics industry is a plus.

Very good command of excel.

Familiarity with Odoo system is a plus.

Languages: English (mandatory) — Turkish (strongly preferred)
