Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Taking the lead in preparation of Construction Program, Working Program, Recovery Program, Short Term Look ahead Program as and when required using Primavera P6 software.
- Taking the lead in preparation of various reporting formats setting the project reporting criteria.
- Taking the lead in monitoring and controlling the progress of key activities included under engineering, procurement, construction phases; collection of data and updating of Projects Schedules (Baseline, Construction, Short Term Look ahead Program) using Primavera P6 Software.
- Awareness of all the critical issues, which affects progress of the work and reporting of these in a timely manner to Project Management.
- Taking lead in coordination and preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports and preparation of Key Performance Indicators for all main trades / activities and cost centers as required.
- Taking the lead in preparation of the Extension of Time Program by means of utilizing required analyzing methods using Primavera P6 software.
- Improving construction management knowledge of the planning and construction teams.
Qualifications/Experience Required
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Masters/MBA or PMP is a plus.
Experience 6+ years’ experience in the Planning Department within Rail/Construction, or similar field.
Must be innovative, detail-oriented, experienced in highly visible/controversial projects
Capable of managing multiple high-priority assignments
Very good interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships with staff, officials and stakeholders and to resolve complaints
Very good analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematic techniques in practical situations
Reading comprehension to understand technical and legal materials.
Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management
Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage and conduct in-person and virtual public participation activities, meetings and hearings
Language Requirements Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus.
