- Bid Preparation & Procurement Support:
- Support bid teams by consolidating procurement inputs across IT & Telco categories.
- Review bid documentation to identify procurement needs, dependencies, and risks.
- Ensure accurate cost structures (unit rates, inflation assumptions, etc.) and validate them against procurement benchmarks or existing contracts.
- Prepare the procurement section of the bid input, including supplier strategy, sourcing approach, and key commercial conditions.
- Supplier engagement
- Launch RFQs to approved suppliers and coordinate responses within tight bid timelines.
- Support suppliers in understanding scope, timelines, and technical requirements.
- Collect, challenge, and consolidate supplier quotations, ensuring clarity and alignment with bid specifications.
- Coordinate clarifications between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Internal Collaboration & Communication
- Work with Category Managers, Procurement Excellence, Finance Controllers, Legal, and Bid Managers to gather required inputs.
- Provide procurement insights during bid reviews (solution review, commercial review, risk review).
- Respond rapidly to requests for clarifications from the bid team or stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with ability to interpret cost models and bid requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities—capable of coordinating across multiple teams under time pressure.
- Ability to quickly understand technical scopes (IT infrastructure, Telco services, installation services, software resale, etc.) and translate them into procurement actions.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proactive, structured, and capable of working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Strong understanding of IT procurement lifecycle — demand intake, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management.
- Ability to run end‑to‑end RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, including scope definition, commercial analysis, vendor scoring, and executive‑ready recommendations
- Knowledge of category strategy development for software (SaaS, licenses, renewals, resale), hardware & IT Services
- Familiarity with global procurement processes and tools.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in IT procurement, sourcing, category management, or vendor management
- 2 to 5 year experience in Procurement Bid support
