Role Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all international shipments, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of dental equipment to our clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international logistics, a deep understanding of export documentation, and a proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of international shipments from our facility to the final destination.
- Book and schedule freight with carriers (air and sea) and freight forwarders, negotiating rates and services to optimize costs and transit times.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to internal teams and clients on their status.
- Resolve any issues that arise during transit, such as delays, damages, or customs holds.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and process all necessary export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and other required forms.
- Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all logistics activities and documentation.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
- Communicate effectively with sales, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and logistics planning.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries regarding shipping and delivery.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce shipping costs, and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 3+ years in a logistics or supply chain role, with a strong focus on international shipping and export.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
Skills:
- Deep knowledge of international shipping procedures, documentation, and trade compliance.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
